Good results at Kongsberg :-)

This weekend we attended a show at Kongsberg. Amini had her debut in the official showring, and she did really well! She won the juniorclass, and was awarded Honors Prize. Ino BIS # 4!

June 20-21st we attended two dogshows in Oppdal. First day we didn't have any luck at all in the ring: Ino 2nd in juniorclass with honours prize, Kisha very good in championclass and Malaika good in championclass (too small head, light eyes and offset ridge...). Allthough we had a nice day, and in the finals both puppy and grown up RR won BOG 1.

Second day of the show, our girls did almost as the day before, just changing places. Kisha was awarded "good" in championclass because she had too little angulation in the rear (!!!!!). Well, happily Ino saved our day, and what a way to do it: First he became best male winning his 3rd Norwegian CAC, then he won BOB and BOG1. And, finally, he won BIS#4!!! He charmed everyone, wagging his tail from mornig all trhough the long day. Both judge and spaker in the BIS-final commented his happy behaviour... A big thanks to everybody who stayed at the show to cheer for Ino, and thank you for all congratulations!

Kipensi has passed away

Today we had to put our very first Ridgebak, Kipensi, to sleep. It was a very tough decition, but she had been sick for a long time, and now she lost control over her bladder. We therefor decided to let her go, before things got even worse.

Denmark once again :-)

May 2nd we took the trip back to Denmark, to attend the international show in Aalborg. We had a nice day at the show, and the results were almost very good: Both Ino and Malaika were awarded excellent and won their classes. Unfortunately they both ended as runner ups to the CACs... Anyway: we had a nice day both inside and outside the ring, and the good ting with Malaika not winning the CAC, is that we guaranteed will return to Denmark pretty soon! As a comfort, Ino (as best junior) is qualified to Crufts 2010 :-)

Malaika BOB April 25th

Ino BOB puppy and BOG 4

This weekend it was time for the Norwegian Kennel Clubs puppyshow in Andebu, so we headed west to show Ino. 13 RR puppys attended the show, so we had a great time around the ring, meeting a lot of friens. Lisbeth, Jørn and Kathrine brought Maisha for the show, and once again Jørn and Maisha did great in the ring, even though they weren't placed in the competition class. But, Ino made it all his way to the top, and was BOB puppy and later on BOG 4.

Maisha and Ino BOS pubppy

Last weekend of October we entered two dogshows in Letohallen. Neither Malaika or Kisha were the judges type of ridgeback, they were too small (!) and light. At Saturday they both were awarded excellent, and Kisha was 3. best bitch. Sunday they both were awarded very good.

Our puppys saved the weekend for us. Saturday Ino was BOS puppy, and Sunday Jørn had his debut as handler, and showed Maisha to BOS puppy (among 9 bitch puppys). Congratuulations to Lisbeth and Jørn :-)

Since we weren't very plased with the results from the shows, it was great to end the weekend by celebrating silver medals to Fredrikstad Football Club Sunday evening. Kipensi joined the party with her new football-collar.

Super show for Kangelani Kennel

This weekend it was the NKK International dogshow at Kongsvinger that was due. We were quite excited when we set of sunday morning, it was 55 ridgebacks that were going to compete for the BOB, and the CACIBs.Linda, Stig, Marit and Anne Britt came from Stavanger, whith all their dogs, quite a pack:-)Fun to se them at our side of the mountains too! We always look forward to the time we spend around the showring, it is fun to compete, but mostly it's great to spend some time with other people that love the ridgeback! It was also good to se the pups from Hege at Kennel Exgate. We have been cheering for them since they entered their first puppyshows. They had their debut at ordinary shows here. Looking forward to se you at other shows during the fall and winter.

It was as said a strong competition. There where many beatiful ridgebacks present. The judge was nice to all of us, and most of us was very pleased with the good critiques we recieved. Marit had a very good day in the ring, and was awarded BOB, BIG and finaly BIS4 with Thanzi. It is a small comfort that he is Malaikas brother:-) We were very pleased with the day, Malaika got her CAC and Res.CACIB. Kisha was fourth best champion bitch but was not placed in the bitch class.

Malaika BOS at the Swedish specialityshow 2008!

After the great sucsess Saturday, we filled the camper with dogs and headed east towards Sweden and the Swedish Specialityshow 2008. We arrived late Saturday evening, and Early Sunday morning Alex snapped the last tent-spot ringside. So far so good... We both agreed that the weekend had been a great sucsess, no matter the results at the Specialityshow. But there was more to come... 79 RR bitches entered the show, and it should be a great day for us Norwegians. Ann Kristin's (Kennel Ridgedogs) Goldie started out by winning the Juniorclass. Malaika wouldn't stand back for Goldie, so she won the Intermediateclass, with her sister Gaby as runner up. Their half-sister Felicia won the open class. Kisha didn't manage to defend the Norwegian colours in the championsclass, she was not placed in her class. But, in best bitch class the Norwegians did it again: Malaika was placed first, with Goldie and Felicia at the next places. Malaika also won a Swedish CAC.

The day before Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis had won the best dog class, and in the BOB/BOS-final Aramis was BOB and Malaika was BOS. Big congratulations to owners and breeders of Aramis! Malaika also was Best Liver in the show.

Better luck next time...

This weekend we attended two dogshows at Nes, but the results were not good at all... At Saturday the judge didn't like any of the eight bitches, and none of them were awarded excellent, even though tree of them are in top of this years winner-list...

At Sunday at least Kisha was awarded excellent, and was placed 3rd in best bitches class. This was the juniors' day: Goldie and Daktari won the CCs and were placed BOB and BOS. Gongratulations to you!

Kisha BOS in Oltedal

This weekend we entered a dogshow in Oltedal. We crossed the mountains in snow and rain - a huge contrast to the last weekends summerweather! Again we had a wonderful time at the show, it's always nice to visit the western of Norway. Sunday it didn't rain until the RR's were done in the ring, so we were quite lucky with the weather. Once again Malaikas brother Thanzi was BOB. Kisha was BOS, and Malaika was 3rd in best bitches class. Stig and Zulu squeezed in between our girls and won the bitches CC. Congratulations :-)

Trip to Trondheim, and Råde at Fire...

Hege and Wivian went back home with both CCs, both CACIBs, BOB and BOS. Congratulations to you all! A special congratulation to Solos family, since Solo won the title Norwegian Champion.

A few hours after we came back home, a fire started in the forest a couple of kilometers from our house. Our house was never threatened of the fire, but Monday evening there was so mutch smoke in our house, we decided to pack our camper and leave. But then the winds changed a bit, and some of the smoke blew away, so we decided to stay at home. Now the firemen has conrol over the fire. Thank you everybody for your consern during the fire.

At Sunday it was a bit easier showing livernosed ridgeback... Malaika was best of breed, with her 5th CAC, Kisha was 2 best bitch, and Malaikas livernosed sister Gaby was 3rd best bitch. Trippel livernose! There was no BOS at sunday, because none of the dogs were awarded championquality. Thank you everybody for a very nice weekend, and thanks to Gunn Tove (Kennel Adorea) for the pictures.

Taya had a daughter!

10th of April, at 3.20 am Tayas daughter was born. First Taya had two stillborn puppies, one little male (154 grams) and one female (384 grams), they both had died a while ago. At last the little fighter was born: a female at 359 grams. She is vital and strong, and ready to be spoiled by all of us... All the puppies seemd to have long, correct ridges, and so far we haven't found any DS or kinked tails. It seems like Tayas pneumoia and the aggressive medical treatment has affected the litter. Thoug we are a bit dissappointed about the littersize, we must be humble and remember that it's a little wonder we didn't loose Taya, and now she has brought us a wonderful daughter to take care of.

Back Home!

To day we got back from a wonderful trip around in Europe. We have visited Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Begium, Holland and France so now the dogs have seen a bit of the world. They all seemed to enjoy the trip, but they looked very happy when they came back to their own yard... Our last stop on the trip was at the international dogshow in Goes, Holland. Both our girls won their classes, and were placed 3rd and 4th in the best bitches class. We are well satisfied with the results, and are allready looking forward to next trip to Europe. It was very nice meeting new RR-friends, and we really hope to see you all again at another dogshow! Thank you for your warm welcome, we felt very at home at "your" shows!

Greetings from Belgium

Finally we have reached Belgium, and we really enjoy our vacation. The weekend we spent at a dogshow in Luxembourg, at sunday 93 RRs entered the showring! Our girls did well, and were both awarded "Vorzüglich" at the show. Malaika was 3rd and Kisha was 4th in their classes, and they both seemd to enjoy showing again. We made some new friends and met some old friends, and had a really nice day at the show. Today we had a nice walk, almost alone, along the beaches of Ooestende. See more pictures in the picturegallery!

Taya 6 weeks pregnant :-)

Taya spent the Easter holidays with us, and we are so happy to see that everything seems normal and Taya seems copletely recovered from her pneumonia. She is eating and sleeping, and acting like the other pregnant dogs we've had. Now we're counting days, and hoping the rest of her pregnancy will go on uncomlicated :-)

Fantastic News!

Today we got the message we barely dared to hope for: Taya is expecting puppies! Taya was critical ill a week after the mating, and fought for her life due to serverve pneumonia and pleuritis. Amazingly both she and the puppies survived, and within a week Taya finishes her antibiotica treatment, and can spend all her energi on "incubating" the puppies. We are so thankful to Lisbeth and Jørn, who took so good care of Taya during these critical days. Now we all look forward to see how many puppies there are, but now every puppy is a bonus after all Taya had to go through :-)

Great Weekend at Vestlandet

8th to 10th of February we spent the Weekend at Karmøy and Ølen. First we had a wonderful time at Anita, Per, Jonas and Magnus' place. Thank you for the hospitillity and service! We allready look forward to next time! On our journy back home across the mountains, we stopped by at the dog-show in Ølen. Kennel Kangelani won it all, BOB, BOS and both CC's, so we were really happy we also had a Kangelani-bitch to show :-) Thanzi became BOB whith his first CC, and later he was placed BIS 2! Umlilo was secnond best dog. Felicia became BOS, and Malaika was placed 2nd in best bitches class, with her 4th CC. Kisha became 3rd best bitch. We had a wonderful day at the dogshow, and after the competition all the RR's had a nice playtime at the shore. At the picture Malaika is posing together whith her siblings Thanzi and Gaby.

Taya and Solo dating

Finally the next Kifani-litter is hopefully on the way. Taya has visited Solo twice in Tønsberg, and hopefully she is expecting puppies in early April. Contact us here if you are interested in puppy from this combination. Read more about the comming litter here.

Yet another Dog-Show-Weekend...

2nd and 3rd of February we attended two dogshows at Ekeberghallen. Saturday Nala's son Tero had his showdebut, and he gained Champion Quality and was placed 3rd in the Dog's competitionclass. A strong result for the young debutant :-)

Malaika won the juniorclass and gained a Honours Prize. Kisha was placed second in the best bitch class. Gry's Atlas was BOB, and Mette's Zahra was BOS with CAC. Congratulations :-)

Sunday we all, except Tero, were back for a new competition. This day the judge chose Malaika as his favourite among the bitches, so she won the bitche's competition class and was awarded her 3rd CAC. Kisha was placed 3rd in the bitche's competition class. Malaika ended up BOS, beaten by Martin, who became BOB and was awarded CAC. Congratulations .-)

Model Malaika

Malaika has started a new career as photomodel for the Tropehagen Zoo. This picture was published in the January-number of Hundesport (the Norwegian Kennel Club's magazine). Now we have to watch all the commersials at TV2, to see if she turns up on TV too!

Another great day in the ring!

Once again we spent the day on a Dog Show, this time in Sandefjord. There were only 12 dogs, but we had a pleasant day around the ring. Wivian with Solo and Tove Mette with Luna won the CAC's. Congratulations! Our little junior Malaika was alone in her class, and recieved a Honours Prize from the judge. Kisha was placed as best bitch, and ended BOS, beaten by Sissel's Melvin in the BOB/BOS-final. Congratulations, and thank you all for a pleasant day:-)

What a Weekend!

After yesterdays great results we were wondering what today would bring. And,today also turned out great! The judge, Tomasz Borkowski, liked both our livernosed girls, and he, like the judge yesterday, placed them 1st and 2nd best bitch. To day they changed places from yesterdays competition, so Malaika was best bitch, whith her second CAC this weekend, and Kisha was 2nd best bitch. At the BOB/BOS-final, Malaika was BOS, beaten by Shavano's I am Martin. Congratulations!

2 times liver!

Saturday january 12th it was time for our to livernosed girls to have this years debut on Norwegian soil. It turned out to be a great day, both conserning the results, and around the ring!

It was probably a historical day in Norwegian Rideback history, both best and second best Bitch was a livernose! Kisha was also awarded the BOB, and Malaika the CAC. Kisha was later that afternoon 2 BOG. A little curiosity about the finals in Group 6, was that all three dogs in the final had "ridges".

Another curiosity for those of us fund of statistics, was that there were nearly 11 years of age difference of the dog and the bitch receiving the CAC's. We have to give our congratulations to Nala's little brother, Atlas for winning the dog-class, and becoming BOS!

Nord Fin Ch Amageba’s Kesha Kazi Kishawishi

Late 2006 we decided to take Kisha to as many dogshows as possible in 2007, to see if it was possible for her to become Norwegian Champion.

We would never dream about reaching the goal that soon: Kisha got her first CAC 20th of January, and four dogshows and three CAC's later she won the title Norwegian Champion at fist attempt in Bø in February, five weeks after winning her first CAC! She is the first Norwegian bread or owned livernosed Ridgeback bitch to win this title ever!

We were hooked, and started looking abroad: Swedish Champion at first attempt 5th of May, Danish (and Nordic) Campion at second attempmt in Denmark 17th of May. In September she also became Finnish Champion.

Summary of 2007:
Titles: Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Nordic Champion
7 CAC's from 4 differnent countries (7 different judges)
3 CACIB's, 3 res. CACIB's
15 times best bitch (9 X BOB, 6 X BOS)
3rd most winning RR bitch in Norway 2007

9 different judges placed her BOB, and 4 of the BOB placments were at shows with change of judge.

Winther is here!

Today Winther came to Råde, at least due to Kisha. At Winther all reasonable Ridgebacks hibernate. Usually the "fur"blanket is good enough for Kisha, but today it was so cold she had to get under the bedsheet. It's amazing how warm a bedsheet can be, Kisha says!In the picture she is really annoyed by me waking her up from hibernation. She hurried under the bedsheet againn, and stayed there for hours. I guess we'ii meet again at Spring, or maybe next feeding-time?

Malaika best juniorbitch at Norwegian Winner!

At the age of 9 months and 4 days Malaika had her debut in the official show-ring at the Norwegian Winner show. Our expectations were not very high: young dog and judge from a country where livernosed ridgebacks are very rare. The results turned out great: Malaika did really well in the ring, and the judge liked what he saw. Malaika was placed first among the five juniorbitches, and was rewarded a CC (the only CC in her class) at her very fist official show, and received the unofficial title Norwegian JW-07. In best bitch class she was number five when the judge placed the four best bitches.

Kisha didn’t do quite as well, she wasn’t placed in the champion class. So, this time Malaika “made our day”. We look forward to continue Malaika’s show- career.

Kisha in the newspaper

17th of November Fredrikstad Blad (our local newspaper) had this story about Kisha. Unfortunately it'sonly aviliable in Norwegian. We're cery proud of our beautyful girl!

BOG Puppy at Kongsberg

After four weekends without, we headed Kongsberg. Of 16 adult Ridgebacks, we had three of them in our car... It was really nice meeting the show-gang again, and we spent some pleasant hours together. Kennel Exgate had a great day at the show, Solo was BOB and his sister Serwa BOS. Congratulations! Thimba recieved excellent, Taya was placed 4th best bitch with CC and Kisha was 2nd best bitch with CC.

Among the puppys Malaika was BOB, and some hours later she was BOG among 10 breeds in the group! She was not placed in the BIS-final, but we are very satisfied with Malaikas last puppy-show.

Kisha and Malaika BOB at Letohallen

At September 30th. we entered a show at Letohallen. This time the adult dogs were fist in the ring, so Kisha was our first girl out. She was placed as best bitch, after a close race with Mette and Heges Zahra. In the BOB/BOS-final she met Gry's Atlas, and this time Kisha was BOB.

After some hours waiting in pleasant company with Hege, Mette and co it was time for Malaika to enter the ring. She wouldent stand back for Kisha, so she became BOB puppy. BOS puppy today was Conan. Congratulations! Later, after many hours waiting, both girls were placed 2 BOG.

Finnish champion September 23th

The weekend 21-24th of September we attended Viking Line Dogshow at Eckerö, Åland. Since ridgeback was the last breed of the day, we had to wait for a long time to get on with the show. There were 60 dogs before we started on the ridgeback. We felt like we attended a Swedish dogshow, as 13 of the 17 ridgebacks came from Sweden, 3 from Finland and then Kisha. As a change there were twice as many dogs as bitches, and they had a hard competition for the CAC and CACIB. The judge, Yochai Barak, did not seem impressed with Kisha, both in the critique and the coments he gave us, he expressed which fault the dog had in his opinion. When he was to place the four remaining bitches in best bitch class Kisha was last when he started out. After many rounds in the ring, Kisha advanced, one step at a time, until she finally was placed as second best bitch. The best bitch was already Finnish champion, so we were extremely pleased that we were able to run into second place and Finnish champion!

We want to send the biggest congrats to BOB Rex Ventors Kenzo and BOS Djungelkattens Vainlyridged Vilda. Kenzo was today Finnish, Nordic and International Champion!

BOB and CACIB in Stavanger

Now we are safe back from a "short" trip to Stavanger. It turned out to be a pleasent weekend, both socially and showwise. We arrived Stavanger early Friday afternoon, and had a good time at Marit Hjartøys home that evening. She is the breeder of our new bitch Malaika. We also spent the evening together with Mona, the owner of Cheriff. I looks as if we had a good strategy meeting that evening, as our Kisha was BOB and Cheriff was BOS at the show the following day. Cheriff won his N CH this day, and we want to send our best congrats to Mona and Cheriff, and also his breeder Jo Ann!!

We have to be very pleased with the results as Kisha took her BOB number 8 and got her 4th CACIB. She also was placed as best bitch for the 14th time. All of these placings have come this year. We also have to mention that our old Kipensi got her second BIR veteran in to weeks, and this time she was not alone in the showring. She met hard competition from, very sound for her age, Sariba.

Kisha BOB at Hundorp

Another Sunday spent at a dogshow, this time at Hundorp in Gudbrandsdalen. After a lot of waiting, we finally got started, and Malaika was first in the ring. She did very well, and was placed 2nd in her class. Kisha was next, and once again she was placed as best bitch, and for the 5th time this year she met Milo in the BOB/BOS-final. Kisha was BOB, and later she was BOG 2.

Kipensi celebrated her 7th birthday with a debut in the senior class. She gave everything, and had absolutely not forgotten how to do it, even though it had been almost 4 years since last time. She ran to a HP, and the judge said in his cirtique: "A sound senior who loves to show..."

Malaika 6 months

These days Malika is 6 months old. This weekend she entered the show-ring again, this time as the only RR-puppy. She did really well, moved well and stood still for quite some time... She seemed really happy in the showring, and deserved her BOB-placement. Unfortunately we did not have time to wait for the group final.

Kisha won the Championclass with a CC, and ended as 3rd best bitch. The judge chose father and daughter (Milo from Exgate and Luna from Esperanza) for the BOB/BOS-final. Congratulations to owners and breeders :-)

Small RR-Special show and NKK's show at Bjerke

This weekend it was both the small RR-secial show, and NKK show at Bjerke. The RR-special show was held in Drammen park, and was a very wet arrangement! We had a good time with other that are equally crazy as ourselves, splashing around on a wet lawn as the rain is pouring down. We hoped to see more dogs there, but it will still be one of the shows this year with the most RR's. It was a good competition, and in the end the judge, Leif Ragnar Hjort, chose to stand there with Exgate's Qi by Forrest as BOB, and Garry's Choice Is Simsela Atlas as BOS. Big congratulations to both! Kisha was plased 2nd in the bitch class.

Sunday we had a new show at Bjerke. With the rain pouring down all Saturday, the showfield was just a big mud pool. Kisha did not enjoy that at all, and she didn't move well. She was placed 4th in Champion class With CC, but was not placed in the Bitch class. Thimba won the Juniorclass with CC, and is qualified for Crufts 2008. In the mud the last two standning was S Uch Djungelkattens Acuteridged Aramis as BOB, and N Uch Kangelanis Fiselo Filicia as BOS. We want to give them both a big congratualtion!

BOB and CACIB in Svenstadvik, Sweden!

August 4th we went to Jemtlands Kennel Klubbs dogshow in Svenstadvik, 60 km south of Østersund. There where quite a few norwegians there, beeing one of the closest shows for most people living in the northern parts of Norway. Sadly there where no other norwegians showing Ridgebacks, nevertheless we had a pleasent day. We had a good time with the swedes sitting ouround us. It was a new judge to us, and as always we where anxious about his feelings for livernose.

The results could not have been any better for us. Kisha showed good, and kept the spirit all through the hot summer day. She was awarded with the BOB and CACIB! We decided to stay unto the finals, there where ten breeds present, but unfortuneatly we did not get placed this time. We have to say that we are still pleased with the results!

2 X BOB puppy, BOS, BOB and BIS3 at our homefield!

The weekend of july 28th and 29th, there were dogshows here in Råde. Saturday Malaika finally got her show debut. Even though she was the youngest of the puppies, she got the BOB, and later that day she was placed second in the group. She did very well, and she behaved in the ring! Among the adults Timba got his 1. price with an HP, and Kisha got CK and BOS, she was beaten by Solo in the BOB/BOS final. Big congrats to Kennel Exgate! After the show we had invited all the ridgeback people for barbeque in the backyard, and it was a great time!

After these great results we where a little excited about what the sunday would give. Malaika was again awarded the BOB puppy, and Kisha was again awarded CK and BOB, yet again we had the honor to compete agains a dog from Kennel Exgate. Congrats to Mette and Hege!Later that day Kisha was BIS 3, so we had an excellent show weekend! We hope for more dogshows in Råde, our dogs seem to like it at home!

Kisha BOB in Skien

July 14th we ateneded a show held by Norsk Rottweilerklubb in Skien. The show place was a narrow, small ballcourt, nonetheless we had a pleasent time inside and outside of the ring. Malaika was supposed to have her show debut this day, but she had been playing a little too much and was limping, so we chose not to show her. That left Kisha with the only of our dogs to show. It was not a big show, only 10 adult ridgebacks. Kisha was the only bitch with CK. In the BOB/BOS final we met "Milo" again. Kisha got the BOB, and was later that day BOG 2.

Great showweekend at Nes June 16-17!

This weekend we spent at Nes, with dogshows both saturday and sunday. Saturday the weather was excellent, and that was good, because it should be a long day. Timba was the first to show from our dogs, it was his first dogshow, and his debut gave him a 1 price and HP. Kisha showed good today, and was awarded BOB, and then BOG. This was a great day even if we was not placed in the BIS final.

Sunday the weather was not so great, a little rain in the morning, and it was nice to have an early show time. Thimba was again the first to show, and he was number 3 in dog class with CAC! Big congrats to Victoria and Thomas! Lulu also had her show debut today, she got a 1 price. Kisha was 2 bitch with CK, beaten by Bentes Iving witch finaly got the BOB

Big congrats to N Ch Kifani's Dafina Kasan!

Kasan is a handsome dog from our first litter of ridgebacks. He moved to Linda and Gunnar in Narvik when he was 8 weeks old. Despite the weather up north, the boy with ancesters from Africa has done quite well at shows. The weekend 9-10 June he was showing in Tromsø, the result was 2 times BOB, 1 BOG, 1 BOG2, and last but not least, he ended up BIS2 at the show Saturday! Congratulations from the family down south! Linda and Gunnars other ridgegback Bawabu's Zenzele Zubayaba, "Zera", got two CAC and was BOS both days.

Danish and Nordic Champion on May 17!

Again we can feel that the show business is filled with ups and downs. After just a 1 price in Kristiansand, we were exicted about going to Denmark to try to get the Danish CAC. On May 17, the norwegian nationalday, all of us but Marianne and Malaika went to Stepping, Denmark. There where 36 dogs there, and to make a long story short, it was a total blast with CAC, DK CH and Kisha was also BOS, beaten by Multi Ch Kinyemi Anzi A'Bhubesi.

Norwegian Ridgeback Special and NKK Show Drammen

The last two weekends there has been shows for ridgebacks at Harestua, and in Drammen. At both shows Kennel Kangelani, with N CH Kangelani's Fiselo Felicia, won BOB. Our congratulations goes to Marit and Trond Petter in Stavanger! We also want to send congratulations to Gry Anita with the CAC to Ayo, and Tonje and Anders with the CAC giving Carme the title N CH!

Kisha was unplaced at the ridgeback special, even though she got her CK in Championclass. In Drammen it went a bit better, as she ended up 2. best bitch, with a CK and a Res. CACIB. It was two great days at dogshows, with nice weather and good friends!

Kennel Kifani expands our family

April 29th we got the last branch to our family tree at Kennel Kifani. Kangelani's Genle Malaika by Clay was born at Marit, in Kennel Kangelani February 20th. She has now moved to R&aslash;de, and we are looking forward to getting to know her better. She has settled in quite well with the old "aunties" already living here. It is good to have someone to sleep next to, and to play with:-)

Swedish Champion title for Kisha!

Last weekend we drove all the way down to Copenhagen, Denmark, just to get a 2 price. Part of the story is that only three dogs recieved a 2 price, that included both the livernosed dogs... Sunday was a bit better, then Kisha at least got her CK, but was not placed in the Bitch class.

We did not have very high exectations when we May 5th headed for Larv, Sweden, in our first atempt to get the Swedish Champion title, but he who never dares, never wins... There where 40 dogs showing, and the weather was excellent. The judge, Niels Brandstrup, was very conserned about movement, so we had to run many, many rounds in the ring. It was quite exhausting in the shining sun, but Kisha kept the spirit. Kisha got her CK, and after many rounds of runing, she was left as the best bitch. We then could bring home the Swedish CAC, and S CH title to Norway. In the BOB/BOS final she was beaten by LP1 NUCH S VCH SUCH Emoyeni's Grand Zuberi.

BOB and BOS in Letohallen

March 17 Kisha started a show in Championclass for the first time, and we where very exited before it started Saturday morning.

We had to wait a little longer, because we had a puppy from our I-litter in the puppy class. Zuri-Ferrari should make her showdebut, and with her owner 8 months pregnant it went very well. She was placed 3 by the four bitches there, the two first became Juniors the next day. We hope to see Zuri-Ferrari and har owner at more shows later.

When the adult dogs started, there where ribbons in all imaginable colors, at the end Kisha was left as the only bitch with CK, and she met "Milo" from Hege in the BOB/BOS final. Milo won easily, Alex was unable to get Kisha to run properly. She got in her critique, "extremely lazy", and we have to agree to that...

Now that the debut was over, and we felt the result was excellent, we where excited about the show on Sunday. We hoped to get a good result this day to, and we have to say that we are very happy. Kisha was again best bitch, and Milo was the best dog. This day they shared brotherly, and Milo was BOS, and Kisha got the BOB, and later that day BOG 2.

First Livernose bitch born in Norway to become N CH

Februray 25th Kisha got her fourth CAC in five weeks and one day, this time it was at NKK's Show in Bøhallen at Bø. The judge this time was Trygve Heyerdahl. We where of course very pleased with the CAC, CACIB and BOS. This CAC gave Kisha the N CH title, a day we have been looking forward to for a long time. We had a good time around the showring with our friends. As far as we know Kisha is the first livernosed bitch born in Norway to become N CH. There are three livernoses that are already N CH, two dogs and one swedish bitch.

Again we met one of Gry's dogs in the BOB/BOS final, this time it was the father of last weeks BOB dog, Atlas, that got the BOB. Big congrats to Gry!

BOS in Letohallen

February 17th Kisha got her third CAC in four weeks, this time from jude Arne Foss. 2007 has been a very nice show year for us, this far. It has just started, but the way it goes right now, is very fun!

Ayo who was BOB, was handled by breeder Hanne, because Gry couldn't be at the show. We send our warmest congratulations to them, it's practically family, since the winner is one of our Nala's nephews!

CAC at Exporama

February 4th Kisha received her second CAC in two weeks. Wera Hübenthal was the judge, and Kisha was 2 best bitch.

Thanks to everyone greating us at the show, and signing our guestbook. It is good to have a few good showresults, but even nicer when so many seems to wish us all well and good luck!

What a start of the Showyear!

Kisha started the showyear with both CK, CAC and BOB among 21 ridgebacks at Sandefjord Hundeklubbs show this weekend.

Even if we didn't get a placing in the group from the eleven dogs there we are superhappy with the result of the day. Kisha seemed to enjoy the showing, and then it is fun for us to be at the show!

Great thanks to Bente Nygaard for the picture!
